The 3,340 mAh battery on the Honor 9i
provides a 24h of battery life. It’s good enough, but nothing special. But during
processor-intensive tasks like gaming, it drains quite noticeably so be careful
if you plan to spent all day out. If you are pushing the processor but in
general the phone has a strong battery.
Design
The design is one of the highlights of the Smartphone,
something that look obvious for recent Honor devices that were characterized by
a exceptional design that make this
phone looks one of the kind.
The metal design of the Honor 9i looks fine
with a solid construction inspires confidence in the build quality of materials;
the camera module on the back protrudes a little but has a metal rim around it for
protection from scratches. It’s actually a plus for Honor/Huawei devices.
With taller stances, you might need to
stretch your fingers to reach the volume rocker on the edge or the fingerprint
sensor at the back. It really depends on how and where you hold the phone. For
me, and many others, the first look to the phone is important and the
impressive aluminum chassis and stylish design catch your eyes.
Screen
The Honor 9i is the company’s first Smartphone
with a Full HD+ (2,160 x 1,080) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The IPS LCD
also looks good looking especially with little bezels around it. There’s a high
83 percent screen-to-body ratio – economic for a Smartphone at this price.
The display is incredibly sharp, and the saturation
of color is nice, but at the outdoors you may get a disappointment when it
comes to brightness which is affected by sunlight viewing. But the contrast
ratio is equilibrated and the viewing angles measured. The big display on the
Honor 9i is a defining features of this device, and, It looks great at first look.
Verdict
The Honor 9i is a good phone and well
balanced with many features and reasonable cost, with a tall display of 18:9
aspect ratio, dual cameras, and a good looking chassis.
it performance is good enough and well
managed, but it could’ve been better, especially for battery life.
